Artist Highlight of the week....

Marian Anderson was born in in Philadelphia on Feb. 17, 1902. She was the oldest of three girls. From as young age Marian showed a passion for music. At 6 years old Anderson joined her church choir. She went on to perform at concert halls all around the world including; in Asia, Europe, North America and South America. Notably, Anderson performed at the White House in 1963 and was the first Black women to perform at the Metropolitan Opera in New York in 1955.
